the Sacred Way

The four mile route from Moodus to East Haddam village center, is a winding road (route 149) that follows parts of the rivers Moodus, Salmon, and Connecticut.

It's flat
then down a little
then flat, then down some more
terraced
light comes through the trees beautifully at all hours
then you come to the old village with its gardens
and finally the village center.

Sometimes I can only shake my head in beauty. Today I attached my phone camera to the motorcycle (Honda Shadow 1100) and took a video driving the route.

So here is the video. It includes some occasional text and photo narration to give a sense of where you are.

Make sure your Youtube is set for High Quality, or the video will be blurry.  In Youtube, click Settings (the gear-shaped icon), click Quality, then choose 720p or 1080p. Enjoy!
