After the Rain

it's the first rain in a while.  first rain of much significance, this summer, and the unpolluted air seems even cleaner after.  thunderstorms bring ozone from the upper atmosphere, making it feel even fresher.  the mist and moisture felt clean.  yesterday, even my car got washed on the way home in a wall of downpour.

North from my house, a bright spot through the clouds. But the sun is not in that direction.

The Blue Oar, Haddam is seafood restaurant in a very peaceful enclave.  On the banks of the Connecticut River, tucked away.   From home to get there go down the river, over the bridge to the west side, then 2 miles up the river.   You go upstairs to order, then they bring it to you.

Seared scallops, over bacon/potato/greenpepper hash!

Phenomenal cloud billows over the East Haddam bridge!

and smooth peaceful waters and the western span of the bridge:

I am guessing a couple more weeks.

A brief video of His Majesty, with ambient sounds.  You might be able to hear the rain.

Here's LT doing some exploring!
